Pack A Box: Operation Christmas Child

Pack A Box-Collection WeekPack A Box-destinationsLearn how to Pack A Box!

This is the start of an amazing time of year that includes giving to those you care for and, if you can, those in need.

Typically, I would wait until after Remembrance Day to post this, however the collection dates for Pack A Box (Website Here) this year are November 13-19; I wanted to give at least 2 weeks for those of you who might want to participate!

Operation Christmas Child/ Pack A Box is a movement by Samaritan’s Purse:ย Samaritanโ€™s Purse provides aid to hurting people- victims of war, disease, disaster, poverty, famine, and persecution. We do it regardless of their religious faith, race, gender, or socio-economic standing.

To participate, all you have to do is:

*Find a shoebox

*Pack a box with goods/toys for a boy or girl, aged 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. I chose GIRL 5-9.

*Provide a $10 donation to cover shipping to the 2017 Destinations (over 100 countries world-wide).

*Drop it off at one of the Collection Centres near you (Canada-Wide).

If you miss collection week Nov 13-19, don’t worry! You can skip the $10 donation, and use it to mail your filled shoe-box to the Headquarters, year-round.ย (20 Hopewell Way NE, Calgary, AB, T3J 5H5)

Pack A Box-HOW TO

It was so fun and rewarding packing a shoe-box! I tried to include a variety of toys, a comfort item, school supplies and hygiene items for a 5-9 year old girl. This is a photo of the box I filled:

I hope this inspires you to either Pack A Box yourselfย (Click Here), or give in another capacity that suits you and your lifestyle. If you have a favourite way to give-back around the holiday season, please let me know in the comments below, as I would love to check it out!

I hope this will Satisfy Her Soul xo
