Without further ado,
May she treat her ears to music made with her in mind, in hopes it will help Satisfy Her Soul
I can’t stop listening to this song! A powerful, catchy tune that shines a light on body-image issues. I can’t believe these young women are only 14/15 years old.
This is a song you can dance to in the mornings while making your coffee, while the lyrics still leave a footprint on your heart.
“Only sun comes through my window” is one of my favourite lines from this happy anthem. Angela’s lyrics have a way of pulling you in from the very first line. Definitely brightened my day!
This “inspirational chant/song” features the voices of 5 women and amazing percussion to back them up. The harmonies and words will uplift your spirits!
In addition to the phenomenal music video, Geneva’s voice calms the soul and reminds us to let life’s journey “flow like water”.
I hope you have enjoyed listening the second instalment of Toronto Women In Music! I have listened to all of these songs multiple times and I am still loving them. If you have an artist to nominate, or you are a musician yourself, from Canada or local to Toronto, please feel free to contact me here to share their song or website! I am already planning volumes 3 and 4 and would love to include you!
