Side Hustle: A way to make some extra cash that allows you flexibility to pursue what you’re most interested in.

Dear Side Hustle,

First, let me start by saying I appreciate all that you do for me. If it weren’t for you, my side hustle serving job, I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills on time, or afford a comfortable living.

But, Side Hustle, there are some problems in our relationship that I really want to address.

I don’t see us working out long-term. Sure, you’re good to me, but if I settle down with you I’ll have to hang out in bars every night, you know? That wouldn’t be good for me. I hope you can look past our differences and set me free to find my true happiness.

If I’m being honest, I’ve just been doing you for the money, I don’t even like you that much. Whenever I’m with you, my heart is elsewhere…

You see, I have been cheating on you with Music. Music has always been there for me and I feel badly for putting my true passion on the back burner just so I can see you several times per week.

It isn’t fair to me, and it isn’t fair to Music. So, if you don’t mind, Side Hustle, I would like to start seeing you less, and eventually cut you off entirely.

Thank you for the past 5 years, as you really did teach me a lot about dealing with challenges and learning to fend for myself. I certainly don’t regret you at all, Side Hustle.

I promise I’ll stay in touch,

At least until Music & I really hit it off.

Sincerely and Yours Not-So-Truly,

Michelle – Satisfy Her Soul
