25 Things To Do If You're Lonely Or Bored

Personally, I am an introvert. I could spend day-in and day-out by myself and rarely do I feel in need of company. That is not to say I do not enjoy spending time with my friends and family, but I re-charge better when I am on my own. I could probably think of 100 things to do with my spare-time, but I decided to begin with just 25 things to do if you’re lonely or bored.

For some individuals, they get their energy from being around others. When they are alone, they have a hard time and can easily feel down and out. This is normal if you are extroverted, but it is important to learn to love spending time with yourself, as well.

There will be times when your friends and family are busy, away, or just not available. This doesn’t need to mean you are going to have a boring, sad, or lonely day. Think of it as an opportunity to take yourself on a dateTreat yourself, use the time to be as productive as possible, or just relax!

Here are 25 Things To Do If You Are Lonely Or Bored 

  1. Re-arrange your living space

  2. Learn/practice an instrument

  3. Read a book

  4. Meal-prep for the week

  5. Take a nap

  6. Make a music playlist

  7. Create art

  8. De-clutter your closet

  9. Meditate

  10. Spend time with a pet

  11. Do a puzzle or play a game

  12. Exercise or try yoga poses

  13. Practice your photography

  14. Bake your favourite recipe

  15. Go for a walk

  16. Create a list of goals

  17. Have a luxurious bath/Paint your nails

  18. Make a Pinterest board (Dream House?)

  19. Watch your favourite movie

  20. Clean your house

  21. Make a Blog or Vlog

  22. Write a letter to your future self

  23. Call someone you miss

  24. Organize your finances

  25. Do nothing and enjoy it!

I could go on, but I don’t want to waste your time when you could be treating yourself! Light a candle, make a cup of tea and enjoy your own company!
