Reading 30 Minutes Per Day

If you are new to Satisfy Her Soul, you may not know about the #777Challenge: 7 Goals in 7 Weeks for 7 Days. This means a new challenge every week until the end of 2017! At this point, I have successfully completed the Week of Drinking Only Water and the Week of No Technology After 10pm. This past week’s challenge was Reading 30 Minutes Per Day for 7 days straight.

This was a challenge I was really looking forward to because I LOVE reading. If you couldn’t tell by my many Book Reviews on this blog, it is one of my favourite hobbies. Lately, though, with the blog and working two jobs, I haven’t been giving myself time to read.

Note: I am an Amazon Affiliate, so if you purchase from these Amazon links below I may make a small commission at no additional cost to you.

At the start of the week I was about a third way through an interesting book about social media called Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook by Gary Vaynerchuk (yes, review is coming soon). My goal was to complete this book and begin another.

I am very pleased to say I not only accomplished my goal, but not only did I begin a second

book, I read it start to finish! That second book was called Make Your Bed by William H. McRaven and I will be posting a review on that too.

Because I just finished reading two non-fiction, informative books, I think I will next treat myself with a light hearted fiction book. I am definitely going to keep reading as much as possible because it relieves me of my every-day worries and allows my mind to be focused elsewhere, even if it is only Reading 30 Minutes Per Day!

Any book recommendations? Would you try this challenge? Let me know in the comments below!
