April 1st means it is time for my annual routine where I go through my Spring Cleaning Checklist! This year, I am particularly excited to de-clutter and deep clean my space because I am teaming up with The Libman Company to review some of their favourite cleaning products. I will explain more about this and how you can get involved in a post coming very soon! For now, let’s get prepared and figure out what exactly we need to tackle!

Spring Cleaning Checklist 2018

SPRING CLEANING: The act or process of doing a thorough cleaning of the place. – Merriam-Webster Dictionary

This is the season where the whole world renews & refreshes. The weather warms up and we can finally open the windows and get some fresh air circulating in our home. Some people even believe that Spring Cleaning will bring good fortune for the year ahead!

A survey of 1000 men and women, sponsored by The Libman Company, found that 32% of people complete their Spring Cleaning Checklist over the span of a weekend. I, personally, take about a week to get through my deep-clean.

In order to organize everything I need to get done, I categorize the tasks into 4 sections:

General- All Rooms:

  • Dust Baseboards & Ceiling Corners
  • Clean & Dust Light Fixtures/Ceiling Fans
  • Scrub Doors & Walls
  • Vacuum Curtains, Rugs & Cushions
  • Windex Windows
  • Dust and De-Clutter Shelves/Desks
  • Polish Wood Furniture
  • Sweep & Mop Floors
  • Clean Mirrors, Pictures, Frames & Artwork
  • Change Batteries in Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Kitchen:

  • Deep-Clean All Appliances
  • Disinfect Trashcans & Recycling Bin
  • Clean Out Refrigerator
  • Sort Out Tupperware
  • Organize Dish-ware/Glassware/Pots/Pans
